Licensing
The Human Resources Department is committed to ensuring that each Elkhart Community Schools certified teacher is highly qualified and appropriately certified. We provide consistent reminders related to obtaining Indiana licensure—whether as a first-year teacher or a teacher from another state—as well as timely updates for license renewals.
Maintaining a current and appropriate license for your teaching assignment is essential. While the Personnel Department offers support, it is ultimately each teacher’s responsibility to maintain appropriate licensure.
