eLearning Days

Students will not attend school in person on scheduled eLearning days. Teachers will assign work and communicate classroom expectations and information via digital learning platforms, including Canvas, Seesaw, and/or ParentSquare.

Scheduled days for the 2025–2026 school year

  • September 15, 2025 — Asynchronous
  • October 22, 2025 — Asynchronous

Please note: eLearning is adaptable for students who use special education services and those who participate in the English learner services.

Synchronous (Inclement Weather eLearning Day)

In the event of an unexpected school closure due to inclement weather, Elkhart Community Schools may implement an eLearning Day. The district is authorized to use eLearning days for inclement weather per state law IC 20-30-2-2.7, which could include an Asynchronous (all through SeeSaw/Canvas) or Synchronous learning (50% live instruction through Google Meet) and 50% Asynchronous (through SeeSaw/Canvas).
