Cleveland Elementary Named Purple Star School

Congratulations to Cleveland Elementary, which was named a Purple Star School by the state of Indiana. This designation recognizes schools that show an exceptional commitment to service members, veterans, and students and families connected to our nation’s military.

This happens just after Cleveland continued its Veterans Day tradition of a school-wide celebration of those who have served our nation. The festivities were organized by music instructor Mrs. Robin Todorovich, who draws her passion for Veterans Day in part from her experience as a military child. Guests included veterans with connections to current Cleveland students. Both the Cleveland Choir Club and Recorder Ensemble provided patriotic musical performances, while other students presented readings about the importance of the occasion.
