College and Career Readiness

high school boy being interviewed for job

An education at Elkhart Community Schools begins by developing a love of reading, writing, and math. As students grow their basic skills, the world of education comes alive through technology, history, world languages, science, and career exploration. With a broad educational foundation through elementary and middle school, students are able to identify and pursue their fields of interests in high school as they enter Elkhart High School and the Six Schools of Study.

On the same campus as Elkhart High School, the Elkhart Area Career Center can take students a step further into their future career through one of over 30 career-based programs, each offering industry certifications or college credits at little to no cost.

At both EHS and EACC, students have the opportunity to earn college credits through our Early College Program or Dual Credit courses.

On average, over 10,000 college credits are earned by ECS students every year. Over $10.6 million in college credits have been earned by EHS students at no cost to ECS families.

While the list continues to evolve as the needs of our students and community change, the following courses are currently offered to high school students through Elkhart Community Schools.
